In this session of The Wire members of 5 Ela, Proof’s original group give insight into the Detroit hip hop scene, speaking on a variety of topics from working with Proof and Jay Dilla to breaking down the propaganda in the movie 8 Mile that made Eminem an icon.

5 ELA responds to Kuniva and tell D12 to, “Stand up and defend for P! Don’t shoot at us because we spoke it”…before giving their take on D12’s situation with Shady saying, “don’t slap me for slapping the man that’s slapping you.” and “The regime has to change” and ending it by saying … “if they want to do something for real, come down and contribute”.


Childhood friends and members of Proof’s group 5 Ela speak out about Proof’s passing, Eminem getting an achievement award at Proof’s funeral, D12’s attempt to lay the blame on 5 Ela’s Mudd who was there the nite Proof got killed and the fact that neither Em or D12 reached out to those closest to Proof
