Brooklyn to Atlanta representer Fly Reef stopped by HoodRich Radio to chop it up with DJ Scream, DJ Princess Cut, and Amber Jaii!

Fly Reef talks about welcoming a new baby boy to his family and finding inspiration to create new music.

He talks about growing up in Brooklyn and moving to Atlanta as well as his Muslim background and his ability to speak four langauages.

Fly Reef has been writing raps since the age of 7 as a means of therapy, but it wasnt until about a year ago that he decided to take music seriously. He talks about balancing his lyrical content with a catchy sound and reveals that he will not sacrifice sound for substance.

Living as a Muslim in America, Fly Reef admits that he has experienced discrimination but he doesn’t let it affect him because he is comfortable with himself.

Fly Reef’s ultimate goal is to take care of his children who are his biggest inspiration.

Fly Reef talks about his new single, “No Top” which was inspired by the purchase of a new drop top Benz. He plans to embark on a No Top tour soon starting in Brooklyn then making his way to Atlanta with more cities to come.

Fly Reef blesses HoodRich Radio with a freestyle off the top that garners thumbs up from everyone.

He goes on to talk about how the death of Prodigy affected him as a fan of his music and native of New York. Fly Reef doesn’t think that Prodigy got the respect that he deserved as a lyricist until his passing.
