Rap group 5-Elementz a.k.a 5-Ela formed in Detroit in 1992. The group met while attending Osborn High School on 7 Mile. The original members consisted of the late Proof #D12 , Mudd, and Thyme. The group was some of the earliest to work with Jay- Dee a.k.a. #jdilla
