Breaking a single on commercial, online or digital radio takes time. It is an ongoing process. It does not happen overnight. And there are no shortcuts. Mainstream radio is not an avenue for independent artists unless you have deep pockets or are part of the industry machine. If not, you will not get into regular rotation. The industry has evolved beyond radio and direct to consumer sales. You have to create your own lane, increase exposure, stimulate sales and generate multiple streams of revenue.
